Quilty questions
A finished quilt is a thing of beauty. I would love to help you finish yours. I can help you with edge to edge quilting or custom quilting.
Yes. Yes, I can. Denim is a heavy duty fabric designed for high friction and longevity. It makes a wonderfully weighted quilt. When assembling or quilting, I use a heavy duty needle and a good, strong thread.
Can you quilt chenille?
Yes. Yes, I can. Chenille blankets are knitted. You can buy them at most home goods or department stores. Two chenille throws with a solid sheet or fabric piece for a "batting" creates a wonderfully weighted blanket without any piecing. Chenille by nature has stretch to it. I work to create uniformity as much as possible, but some stretching is possible.
Can you quilt any design I want?
Yes. Yes, I can. I am here to help you finish your quilt so you are happy with the results. Sometimes quilters know exactly what they want. Sometimes, they don't have an opinion. Sometimes, they get inspired as we work together. I can follow your designs, help you pick one, or help you find your inspiration.
Can you use the batting I bring?
Yes. Yes, I can. I can work with any clean batting that is larger than your quilt top. It could be a franken-batting, a sheet, an old army blanket. If you have stitched your batting scraps together, I can work with that. If you would like bamboo batting or 80/20 cotton/poly (my personal favorite), I can supply that for you.
